That is a statement of fact rather than a modest one. We would rather show you nothing than show you something we wrote ourselves, and there is no shortage of contractor sites doing the second thing.

- Which coating system you had put down, and roughly when.
- How the slab preparation went — that is where floors are won or lost.
- Whether the finished floor matched what the quote described.
- How it has held up since: hot-tire marks, salt, chips, colour.
- Anything that went wrong, and whether we put it right.
The last one matters most. A floor that went perfectly tells a reader less than a floor that had a problem and what happened next.
